Acuren is currently hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk II who is dedicated, energetic, professional, and detail oriented to join our Team.
Responsibilities: - Proficiency in use of office suite required, and financial software preferred (Sage 500).
- Thorough understanding of the function including department specific processes and practices.
- Reviewing, verifying and accurately processing invoices from the field and for corporate.
- Reviewing AP batches entered by field AP clerks for coding and approval and preparing checks for the weekly A/P cycle.
- Accounts Payable processing – reconciling processed work and verifying entries.
- Process daily quick pay invoices, as well as process weekly check run of approximately 300 checks, and complete positive pay files.
- Closing Purchase Orders in support of the field.
- Support New vendor setups.
- Identifying, investigating and resolving any discrepancies and/or non-compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensuring account allocation within the general ledger/sub-ledger is accurate.
- Communicate with field offices, vendors, and suppliers regarding any errors or delays in payments.
- Providing information and guidance to business areas regarding applicable policies and procedures.
- Provides support for any organizational changes.
- In-depth knowledge of related accounting/processing or related systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and/or equivalent work experience in Accounts Payable position(s).
- 3+ years accounting and Accounts Payable experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong MS-Excel skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive internal and external relationships.
- Sound working knowledge of the overall business of the company and the impact of the program specialty on supporting those business objectives.
- Thorough understanding of collective agreement terms and conditions.
