Our company specalizes in procuring automobiles, heavy machinery & wood for export. You will be responsible for purchasing the product from start till export, following up on transportation, title and logistics. Our company wants to hire a talented Purchasing Assistant that has good computer skills and can search website to help us find the products we assigned. You will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, coordinating with procurement and helping to set up product standards. Targeted sourcing, negotiation and problem solving skills are essential to succeed in this position. As a Purchasing Assistant, you must be well organized with strong communication and negotiating expertise, as well as analytical skills in order to get the best price possible. Your goal will be to negotiate terms and conditions while ensuring that quality is not compromised. As well as purchasing, you will be assisting in the warehouse by checking in the cars to the warehouse, taking pictures of the cars as well as inputting relevant info of the cars into our Quickbooks system as well as sending them to the clients. In addition, you will assist in delivering the car by driving it to the loading warehouse as needed. You will also help with the back warehouse with some light customer service for selling some packaing materials and butcher block sales as well. Lastly, looking for someone to help assist with computer hardware and software and IT issues within the company.
We are looking for an strong individual that has the following traits:
- Understand and can use computer software such as (Microsoft Office, Outlook, PDF)
- Aggressive negotiator and communicator on the phone and internet for purchasing
- Independently and has strong searching skills on the website for products needed
- Able to work in warehouse environment and can use a forklift if needed
- Quickbooks experience is a plus
- Have some IT background and good with computer hardware is a plus.
- Able to take photos and check in cars and input data into our quickbooks system
- Able to multi-task and handle light warehouse duties.
- Able to handle incoming customers for sales of packaging and wood and provide good customer service.
- Has a valid and good driving records as need to deliveries and driving errands
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
