Purchasing Assistant (Bilingual in Korean)

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of products and ingredients, review inventory count, discuss timing and needs with managers
• Issue purchase orders and follow up with deliveries, missed orders, etc.
• Responsible for update daily warehouse receiving log and review receiving documents to match against PO’s for processing of payment
• Responsible for update vendor files, contract files, certification files, financial transactions files
• Enter vendor information in the system and create hard copies
• Support with monthly inventory closing and support in creating inventory related reports
• Responsible for obtaining quotes, negotiate the best pricing for materials, and best cost-efficiency
• Ensure all ingredients meet company standards
• Support with training warehouse/inventory personnel in regards to inventory control/counting, organization, general housekeeping, and maintenance of the warehouse
• Assist with other duties/projects as assigned

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience in food industry is preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving acumen, and can use principles of logic to generate results
• Motivated self-starter willing to master multiple data platforms from online videos or tutorials
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual in Korean preferred
