Property Accountant

Portfolio Realty Management, Inc. is looking for one person to add to its accounting team. In our firm, the property bookkeeper or Property Accountant is the front-line accounting person on their assigned properties as well as telephone and in-person interaction with tenants, vendors and property owners.

The person for this position will have these capabilities:

• Good working knowledge of QuickBooks.

• Good telephone communications skills; only English required.

• Good writing skills.

• Full-time position of 40 hours per week.

Job tasks include:

• All accounting on QuickBooks for assigned properties. The daily accounting load – receipts, billings, invoices, payments, and reports – is the largest part of the job.

• Telephone support for the office for a small portion of each day.

• Electronic and paper file management of tenant and vendor information.

• Administrative duties.

• Seasonal accounting activities spread throughout the year, such as budgeting, 1099s, tenant CAM reconciliations, and numerous smaller tasks.

Strong compensation program:

• Base pay and profit-sharing bonus program; $70,000 to $80,000 initially, plus bonus.
