A/P & Property Staff Accountant

We are looking for an A/PProperty Staff Accountant to join our team! This role is responsible for all accountants payable, property accounting and financial reporting.

What will you be doing?

• Oversee and manage all aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.
• Assist Property Management staff with review and preparation of monthly tenant billing.
• Work with Yardi team to reconcile tenant records between A/R reports, security deposit reports, tenant ledgers, lease documents, and general ledger.
• Review monthly general ledger for accuracy of invoice coding and verify account balances and detailed activity.
• Prepare variance reports for Property Manager review and review monthly property level management reports for accuracy.
• Oversee all property and tenant lease input for completion and accuracy.
• Assist corporate accounting department with preparation of monthly closing process and preparation of financial reporting.
• Maintain full understanding of property specific processes and pertinent information for each property.
• Improve accounting processes and systems.

What you need to succeed?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• 3+ years' experience in real estate accounting required
• Proficient in Excel
• Proven experience with Yardi Voyager and PayScan software required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
