My name is Bill Stevens and I have a new full remote Senior Business Analyst opportunity available for a major firm that is located in Midtown, New York City that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. This role will be six months to two years in duration. The ideal candidate must be located in either New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or the Connecticut areas. The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship. No Visa entanglements.
This position pays $55.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and end users to understand business needs and objectives for new products, features, or applications
Employ various techniques to gather requirements including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
Synthesize and translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements specifications and documentation
Build and prototype wireframes, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate requirements to development teams
Conduct user acceptance testing and support quality assurance processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled in final product
Develop comprehensive business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and return on investment rationales for proposed projects
Continually refine and update documentation and specifications throughout development lifecycle as needs evolve
Drive process improvements by monitoring business and system issues to enhance efficiency
Required Skills/Experience:
5+ years experience as a Business Analyst within a technical environment
Wireframing experience is a must for this role
Expert elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and communication skills
Deep familiarity with software development lifecycles and methodologies
Experience within the publishing or media industries would be ideal
Strong technical writing and analytical abilities
Proficiency synthesizing complex concepts and managing detailed requirements
Excellent communication and collaboration skills working with both business and technical teams
Sharp problem-solving abilities and a solution-oriented mindset
Deliverables:
Business requirements documents
Functional and non-functional specifications
User stories and acceptance criteria
Process flows, workflow diagrams, and system maps
Wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and user flows
Business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and return on investment rationales
