GENERAL PURPOSE: The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for submitting/reviewing invoices for accuracy and all other duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow differently-abled individuals to perform the essential functions of the job. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Submit 500-600 invoices monthly for payment processing for different entities and vendors

· Use excel to generate split allocations invoices

· Track property tax bills and ensure timely submittal for payment

· Coordinate with property management and accounting to ensure timely invoice approvals

· Import invoices to ERP system

· Print and mail checks

· Reconcile outstanding balances with vendors

· Process 1099s

· Daily submittal of positive pay files

· Assist in streamlining and improving accounts payable process

· Assist with monthly bank reconciliations as needed

· Assist with new entity set up in ERP system

· Assist with monthly expense accruals

· Assist with property and financial audits

· Assist with CAM Rec Audits

· Assist with special projects as requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Minimum four years’ experience working in an accounting department with close attention to accuracy of numbers
• Experience working in Commercial Real Estate a plus
• Yardi accounting system experience preferred
• MRI accounting system experience a plus
• Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Detailed oriented and ability to multi-task
• Adaptability and flexibility in meeting changing demands and deadlines
• Experience with excel
• Ability to work overtime as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
