This position is responsible for academic program management within the graduate department of Counseling. While serving as the primary contact for program support, this person performs a variety of administrative, academic, and student programming duties. Responsible for working across departments to ensure program integration and utilizing data and technologies, including databases and CRMs to execute tasks. Assists with recruitment and marketing efforts and supports Faculty and students. Communicates with prospective, admitted, and current students.This position reports to the Dean of Counseling and works with a variety of departments within the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, along with external agencies and organizations. - Works with the Department Chair to address and update operations, policies, and procedures associated with the program.
- Manages faculty advising for campus and online graduate students.
- Manages marketing, registration, and continuing education hours for professional development events.
- Collaborates with the Department Chair to manage the distribution of staff responsibilities.
- Participates in online program committee meetings.
- Collaborates with the Online Program Director to manage the recruitment, hiring, and assignment processes for practitioner instructors.
- Collaborates with Online Program Manager personnel, the Online Program Director, and department staff to identify, contact, and support at-risk students in the online counseling program.
- Monitors student evaluations of practitioner instructors.
- Collaborates with the Department Chair and program directors to oversee compliance of all programs with accrediting bodies, as well as with graduate school policies.
- Collaborates with the department’s CACREP liaison to draft documents required for recertification, and facilitates the management of on-site visits by credentialing boards.
- Manages the budget and provides quarterly reports to the Department Chair.
- Apportions budget expenses between online and in-person programs.
- Assists faculty in the strategic planning process.
- Distributes department meeting minutes.
- Estimates the number of course sections to offer in the online counseling program each semester.
- Attends and helps coordinate residency activities.
- Prepares and submits aid requests for continuing in-person students.
- Coordinates with the Online Program Director to manage student withdrawal and reinstatement processes.
- Tracks faculty teaching assignments and loads
- Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and Online Program Director.

Education, Experience, and Training
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience with programs, events, or customer-driven environments, preferably higher education. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows, Google Apps, Word, Excel, and other relevant internet-based software.
- Ability to organize workflow, direct multiple tasks, coordinate multiple activities, and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to interact with students, faculty, and other staff members to accomplish programmatic goals.
- Ability to manage and maintain confidentiality of data and information.
