Payroll Specialist - Remote
Primary Payroll Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in the preparation, processing and reconciliation of bi-weekly payroll for 800+ employees in multiple states across multiple client areas: ensuring paychecks are accurate and delivered on time
• Collaborate with the team to review timecards and timecard approvals and interact with supervisors as required to verify data and resolve discrepancies
• Audit payroll information for new hires, job/rate changes, terminations
• Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and requests related to payroll; communicate effectively and with a sense of urgency on any pay related inquiries.
• Respond to and process garnishments
• Generate and distribute required internal payroll reports as needed and assist in the preparation of information for internal and external data requests
• Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits and other deductions by performing regular reconciliation and analysis of expenses, group benefits, payroll taxes, PTO, flex/health savings accounts, off cycle payroll checks, etc.
• Audit and process all bonus and travel reimbursements through payroll system.
• Provide recommendations to management on payroll policies and implement policies and procedures as directed.
• Support the Sr Payroll specialist for quarter-end and year-end payroll processes, tax filings and registrations, and other related duties
• Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and at least 3 years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state payroll laws
• Dayforce experience is highly preferred
