Description:
Drafts and negotiates contracts and maintains a general business practice in order to resolve the various legal and business issues facing a publicly held corporation.- Draft, review, edit, and negotiate contracts related to a wide array of commercial matters, including professional services, technology licensing and cloud/SaaS subscriptions, banking and payment methods, purchase/sale/lease of goods and services, advertising/marketing, and other commercial transactions.
- Work cross-functionally with business and Legal colleagues to support the Company's initiatives, providing legal counsel and business-focused solutions.
- Develop and implement Company policies and procedures.
- Anticipate and minimize potential legal risks.
- Effectively and efficiently manage outside counsel.
Qualification:
- Juris Doctorate degree required.
- Minimum six years of experience at a law firm and/or in-house with experience relevant to the essential duties and responsibilities required.
- Experience with marketing and advertising law, consumer protection regulation, intellectual property, and/or ERISA/benefits is preferred.
- Ability to work cooperatively with the Company's management, attorneys and staff, as well as outside professional advisors and vendors required.
- Ability to keep Company proprietary information confidential required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and business judgment required.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing in Ohio or admitted to the bar and in good standing in another state and eligible for admission on motion in Ohio.
