Payroll Specialist
Work with a dynamic team at a fast-growing staffing company based in Austin, TX. Our payroll team is the "beating heart" of our organization, where we ensure all of our internal and field staff are paid accurately each week, and all of our clients are properly invoiced. Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously is key to our success!
Job duties:
Collecting approved time sheets and entering or uploading them into Avionte weekly
Close time entry batches to ensure payroll is done correctly and timely
Processing late payroll for missing time or correcting pay rates
Setting up payment cards for new hires who do not choose direct deposit
Answer calls and e-mails from clients and employees about payroll issues or concerns
Enter any changes needed to direct deposit, payment cards, and tax withholding forms after the new hire process
Collaborate with the Payroll Director on any direct deposit or payment card bank rejections to make sure employee gets their funds timely
Collect and report on any information requested from Management regarding payroll data
Processing wage garnishments and completing required paperwork
Assisting the Payroll Director in processing invoice adjustments/corrections
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Data entry and typing
Strong tech skills a must (Microsoft Excel)
Experience with Avionte Bold preferred
Some payroll knowledge or experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills

Work location: Austin, TX
Schedule: Full-time (8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday)
