Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team near Alexandria, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to promoting positive behavior change, developing effective interventions, and providing supervision to other professionals in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavior assessments and functional behavior assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct behavior consultation services to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and munity-based settings.
- Design and implement behavior modification programs to teach adaptive skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Train and supervise behavior technicians, therapists, and other professionals on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and positive behavior support.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to promote consistency and generalization of skills across environments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Stay current with best practices, research findings, and developments in the field of behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a BCBA providing behavior consultation services.
- Strong clinical skills in conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent munication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience providing supervision and training to other professionals preferred.
- Knowledge of local resources and service systems in the Washington, D.C. area is a plus.
