Payroll Specialist

Beckett Thermal Solutions is currently searching for a Payroll Specialist to work at our North Ridgeville, OH facility. This position is responsible for managing the daily Payroll functions, working closely with the Controller to compile, prepare and maintain financial records and reports to ensure that financial data from business units are accurate and complete.

Responsibilities:

• Payroll – Weekly (Audit time, pay, taxes, 401k, etc.).
• Work with Bureau of Workers Comp as needed.
• Process and pay Use Tax, CAT Tax, and various other state taxes on-line or by check.
• Process wage garnishments and child support.
• Process colleague loans taken out through Beckett Thermal.
• Process wage deductions for payroll deduction items.
• Track benefit items and wage deductions – Gift cards, safety glasses, uniforms.
• File reports for ACA, W2, 1099 etc.,.
• Cash Book – Post activity, reconcile petty cash.
• Calculate various month end journal entries and maintain account reconciliations.
• Help resolve HRIS System issues with IT department as issues arise and recommend changes to various reports.
• Ensures that payroll policies, and procedures meet the organization's short and long-term objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares and submits financial reports to government regulatory agencies.
• Assists with external audits and tax preparation.

Your Target:

• Improve process flow related to payroll activities and reporting compliance.
• Oversee ULTIPRO enhancements including transition to web based version.
• Work with HR Administration to improve administrative processes related to employee payroll and benefits.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience managing payroll for mid-sized business in the manufacturing space.
• Experience with multi-state payroll requirements.
• Deep experience of payroll systems and processes.
• Experience with ULTIPRO.
• Strong attention to detail (accuracy) and natural ability to build relationships with other colleagues.
