Job Summary:

As a Compensation & Benefits Specialist at Embrace Pet Insurance, your main duties will revolve around administering Payroll and Benefits within the People Operations and Culture department. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of payroll processes and Benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, along with managing various employee benefits programs.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration: Oversee and process the company’s payroll in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Collaborate with finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll-related data.
Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or queries from employees.
Prepare payroll reports for management and audit purposes

  • Benefits Administration: Administer various employee benefits programs such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.

Act as the point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits.
Coordinate with benefits providers and conduct benefits orientations and other educational sessions for employees.
Manage benefits enrollments, terminations, changes, and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in benefits administration.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to Payroll and Benefits.

Prepare and maintain reports and documentation related to Payroll and Benefits for internal review and external audits.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, such as HR and finance, to streamline Payroll and Benefits processes.

Develop and distribute clear and concise communication materials to educate employees about their compensation and Benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Payroll and Benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Benefits structures.
  • Familiarity with UKG is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
