The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting the Payroll Lead and processing payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner. They ensure that all employees are paid correctly and on time, and that all payroll-related taxes and deductions are calculated and paid.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data
- Calculate and deduct taxes and other withholdings
- Prepare and distribute paychecks
- Maintain payroll records and files
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll
- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll software
