Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing:

Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and other compensation.

Ensure accurate and timely distribution of payroll to employees.

Verify and reconcile payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

Compliance:

Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

Ensure compliance with tax laws and other relevant regulations.

Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to government agencies as required.

Data Management:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the payroll system.

Process new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information.

Audit and reconcile time and attendance data with payroll records.

Employee Support:

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.

Assist employees with payroll-related issues and discrepancies.

Provide guidance on payroll-related policies and procedures.

Benefits Administration:

Qualifications:

• Experience with Paylocity required.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Multistate payroll experience preferred, California required.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
