Payroll Specialist Job Description:
PrideStaff Financial is working with a local business in the Sacramento area seeking an experienced HR Payroll Specialist to perform payroll-related functions such as payroll processing compliance and automated timekeeping systems along with payroll reporting in different sites and states. We are seeking an individual who has a strong work ethic, great time management skills, and strong communication skills. Payroll Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform payroll processing, audits, and adjustments
Import files into payroll system from multi sources while reviewing payroll data in a timely manner
Prepare off cycle payrolls and manual checks as necessary
Prioritize non-routine inquiries and issues to the team lead or Manager
Provides additional Administrative and Payroll support as needed
Payroll Specialist Requirements/Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required
AA or equivalent experience required BA preferred
Prior experience with large corporate payroll processing that includes exposure to benefits like 401k and knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws
Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational and analytical skills
Experience with Payroll Software application ADP & UKG required
Know how to resolve problems through payroll adjustments

Must have consistent and reliable means of transportation
Must be able to provide at least 2 professional references from recent supervisors, managers, or person/s who have overseen you in the workplace.
