Skills & Experience:
Minimum of three years’ experience in payroll.
Must have excellent written and oral communications.
Must have advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.
ADP Workforce Now experience is required.
Ability to work independently while completing tasks accurately and timely.
Ability to interact with all departments and employees.
Ideally previous automotive experience in a Dealership environment/Dealer DMS software
Education:
BA Degree in business, accounting, or relevant field.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Verify accuracy of timecards in ADP and communicate issues to employee and/or manager.
2. Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls utilizing ADP.
3. Update ADP with employee status changes such as wage, department, and title changes, and terminations.
4. Update and maintain benefits portal for new employees, employee changes, and terminations.
5. Administer all benefits including health, life, and disability insurances.
6. Administer the company’s 401(k) plan.
7. Work closely with insurance broker including completing annual workers’ compensation, auto and EPLI/D&O insurance application forms for renewal.
8. Work closely with health insurance broker including the annual open enrollment process.
9. Audit medical, dental, and life insurance invoices for billing accuracy.
10. Communicate with insurance broker and carrier on workers compensation claims; status updates on existing claims and new claims as they occur.
11. Process monthly internal sales reports.
12. Process monthly commission worksheets.
13. Process internal payroll and other required reports.
14. Create payroll journal entries for entry in accounting software.
15. Maintain the confidentiality of employee and company records.
16. Maintain all internal job descriptions.
17. Revise and maintain all commission agreements.
18. Review payroll processed in our Tijuana, Mexico facility.
19. Comply with State and Federal agencies regarding required postings.
20. Process and post annual OSHA 300 Form.
21. Some travel to San Diego warehouse required.
22. Other duties as assigned.
