Job purpose:
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for approximately 400+ employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Provide management support for employee payroll inquiries and information requests.
- Transfer data from various sources to the ADP payroll system.
- Balance payroll runs and produce GL entries for tax payments and payroll accounts.
- Reconcile payroll-related bank accounts.
- Address employee payroll inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
- Input new hire information accurately into the payroll system.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required.
- Evaluate and recommend workflow changes to increase department efficiency.
- Utilize XP Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access for various system applications.
- Assist in special projects as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
- Compute, withhold, and deduct pay data for net earnings.
- Maintain accurate records of pay data for reporting purposes.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for coursework in finance or accounting.
- 3-4 years of experience in Payroll Accounting, with knowledge of federal/state regulations.
- Proficiency in PC use, word processing, email, and data entry.
