Position Title: Graphic Designer Reports to: Marketing Manager Supervises: N/A
Summary of Position: Graphic Designer will produce layouts and graphic designs and marketing materials. Including creation and distribution of visual communication media such as books, periodicals, television, electronic media, and packaging pieces from marketing department (posters, duratrans, e-posters, Janus displays, Speed Media, mailers, newsletters, etc.) as well as organizing the work produced for ease of distribution on internal and external servers.
Adherence to established procedures for creating, submitting and archiving design files, use of job packets to track work performed, and adherence to established design parameters for company artwork. Will help with any special events, promotions, or concerts as needed. Other special projects and duties that are assigned as needed for the business as needed.

  4. Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and creates sample layouts. Assures that work produced conforms to the established standards as outlined in the Inn of the Mountain Gods Branding Standards Manual.

• Education and /or Experience Requirements:

  • Must have proficiency with major industry software and be able to contribute conceptually to the design process with ideas that will support message and content.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Macintosh computers and popular graphics industry software including but not limited to Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and similar programs.
  • Must be able to maximize input and output devices such as printers, cameras, and other peripherals and send/retrieve materials via the internet. Illustration, writing, and multi-media skills a plus.

Must have excellent communication skills.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one
year experience in Casino Marketing, Gaming, or Casino Services experience preferable.
  1. Must possess outstanding verbal and written communications skills and have a positive, dynamic and outgoing personality: must have a pleasant and professional speaking voice. Must possess extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Adobe S6 Illustrator, Photoshop & IN Design ( Page Maker, Quark, or other layout program)(, Graphic Design Skills, Layout Skills, Creative Services, Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Desktop Publishing Tools, Ability to Collaborate, Acute Vision, Handles Rejection and constructive criticism. Video editing programs; Adobe after effects, Adobe Premiere is a plus. Must have MAC products proficiency-Photo & Video editing experience.
  2. Basic knowledge of office equipment, printers, fax, and finishing equipment. Experience with print workstations, Fiery, and Creo plus is preferred.
  3. Mescalero Apache Tribal preference: bicultural experience
