Our HR Team is looking for a remote part-time Payroll Clerk! 15 to 20 hour position during our hours of operation (Monday through Friday 8am to 6:30pm, schedule will be discussed/assigned with your supervisor). Must be located in one of our states of operation (Connecticut, Maryland or South Carolina)
Connec-to-Talk is a privately-owned premier provider of ABA therapy anchored in 18+ years of experience with clinics and in home clients currently located in Connecticut, Maryland, South Carolina and New York (Playmates ABA Therapy, an affiliate of Connec-to-Talk).
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for ensuring that employees are paid timely and accurately. Other duties include managing data relating to the hours worked by an employee matched with their pay periods and hourly wages, salaries, overtime, sick days and vacation days.
Responsibilities:
● Import payroll and ensure correct processing of biweekly payroll in Paychex
● Maintain accurate records of payments made to employees via Paychex
● Keep track of pay periods, hourly wages, salaries, overtime, sick days and vacation
days of employees
● Liaise with the HR department and Operations department to ensure accurate
information for payment
● Track employment status (full-time, part-time, terminated) on a regular basis
● File relevant reports and documents as needed
● Verify employee records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy
● Special projects and tasks as required
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
● HS diploma required, enrollment in a BA or BS program preferred
● Minimum 2 years related experience
● Experience with payroll processing software (such as ADP, Paychex)
● Experience with Microsoft Office Products and Google Suite
● Highly proficient in computer skills and technology
● Accurate and meticulous in data entry
● Strong clerical, administrative and general office skills
● Exceptional calculation skills
● Good organizational and time-management skills
● Able to sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time

Physical Requirements
● Must be able to lift and carry clients (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds) if needed
● Must be able to kneel, squat, sit on the floor and stand for extended periods of time
if needed
● Must be physically present at assigned job location(s) if non remote
● Must be willing and able to perform crisis intervention (physically hold, restrain or
block) as indicated by the client’s Behavior Intervention Plan if needed
● Must be able to receive information through oral communication and written
communication via phone, computer or tablet
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
