Job Summary: As an Experienced Automotive Payroll Clerk and Employee Benefit Administer, you will be responsible for efficiently managing payroll processes within the busy and growing dealership. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to handle sensitive data, and familiarity with payroll systems and regulations specific to the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in dealership payroll administration and a solid understanding of automotive industry payroll practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for automotive employees, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of wages.
- Verify and reconcile timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant data to calculate hours worked, overtime, and any applicable bonuses or deductions.
- Process payroll taxes, deductions, and withholdings in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Utilize and navigate payroll software systems proficiently
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Manage and update employee information, including changes in salary, benefits, and tax status.
- Collaborate with HR, Accounting Office Manager, and other department Managers to resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies.
- Communicate payroll-related information to employees and address any concerns or inquiries.
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, and retirement plans.
- Collaborate with benefits providers and ensure accurate deductions and contributions.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Implement and improve processes to enhance payroll efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk, with a focus on the automotive industry.
- Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax codes, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of benefits administration within the automotive sector is a plus.
- Relevant certification or coursework in payroll is desirable.
- Accuracy in data entry and attention to detail are crucial.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary Range:
· $25 - $28 an hour based on experience
