POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Payroll Clerk at Sky Zone, you play a critical role in supporting our payroll team by providing detail focused administrative support so that payroll is processed in a timely and efficient manner. You are responsible for collecting and entering payroll data, timekeeping information, and calculating bonuses or additional payments of various types. Your support is essential to our success as we continue to grow our high-volume field and corporate organization.
This is a work from home opportunity and the ideal candidate brings in Workday payroll system experience, is highly detail-oriented, and has experience in a large organization that supports hourly, salaried, and bonused employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions for 5,500 + employees.
- Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data when necessary.
- Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer’s social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
- Calculate regular pay for all employees.
- Calculate special bonuses and benefits.
- Calculate severance payments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MUST HAVE WORDAY PAYROLL PROCESSING EXPERIENCE
- Large volume payroll experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role
- High School Diploma
- Experience in data collection and entries
- Great attention to detail
- Computer savvy
- Knowledge of multi – state, multi – unit payroll experience
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods at desk while working on a computer.
Compensation ranges from $21-24/hr. based on qualifications and experience. Competitive benefits package including 401k with company match.
