We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paralegal Assistant. As a Paralegal Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist in various legal tasks for example discovery. Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings
- Organize and maintain client files and documents
- Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts
- Assist attorneys with document management and organization
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence
Experience:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is preferred
- Strong research skills with the ability to gather and analyze information effectively
- Proficient in legal drafting and document review
- Familiarity with various legal processes, including contract preparation and filing procedures
- Knowledge of legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
