SalaryAPPLICANT Workers' Compensation law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our West Los Angeles Office. Qualified candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience working in a Workers' Compensation law firm, Bilingual (English/Spanish), organized, must be detail oriented, organized, have excellent customer service, ability to multitask, meet deadlines, work efficiently in a team environment, proficient in Word, Excel, and EAMS filing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to lawyer.
-Handle all Med Legal matters (i.e. proposing AME's, pulling panels, working on joint and advocacy letters etc)
-Handle communication with clients, doctor offices, insurance carriers etc.
-Answer and direct phone calls
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols
- Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
