About Us: Stinson Memorial Public Library District is dedicated to providing exceptional services, resources, and events to our patrons. As part of our commitment to promoting literacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement, we are seeking a proactive and creative Library Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to join our team.

Reports to: Library Director

Responsibilities: As the library district’s Outreach Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in elevating the library's visibility and fostering stronger connections with our diverse community. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing eye-catching promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, and banners, to advertise library services and events.
• Managing and curating engaging content on our social media platforms to keep our patrons informed and excited about upcoming programs and resources.
• Ensuring our website is regularly updated with the latest information and maintaining an appealing and user-friendly online presence.
• Creating and distributing informative paper and email newsletters to keep our patrons up-to-date with library news and developments.
• Building strong relationships with local media outlets to generate press coverage for our events and initiatives.
• Organizing and promoting library events, workshops, and community programs to encourage active participation from our patrons.
• Collaborating with schools, community organizations, and local institutions to expand the library's reach and impact.
• Engaging with the community through outreach activities, attending local events, and participating in community fairs to promote our services.
• Assiting with library circulation duties, programming and paperwork as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivilent work expiernce is desired.
• Previous experience in marketing, public relations, or event planning, preferably in a community-oriented setting.
• Strong proficiency in graphic design software and social media platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Creativity and the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative marketing strategies and content.
• A passion for promoting literacy, learning, and community engagement.
• Self-driven and stays on task.

Salary Range: The salary for this position starts at $15 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
