Position: Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator (Kankakee-Pre apprenticeship)

POSITION SUMMARY: Outreach Worker will conduct recruitment campaign to enroll individuals in a workforce development program. Outreach Worker will work with individuals in Kankakee to enroll in the program with St. Augustine/Institute for Workforce Education.
RESPONSIBILITY Works with Job Developer to complete the following tasks:
- Develop an outreach plan in the communities that Rincon serves to recruit participants, into a workforce training program.
- Contact partners that have clients that qualify for the program.
- Use of data management system to track participants activities in program.
- Understand program requirements and discuss at community meetings.
- Coordinate and organize recruitment events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Work to enroll individuals into the workforce program.
- Work with Wrap Around Service Coordinator to link participants to health care, including behavioral health care services, health care coverage, and social services such as housing, adult education, transportation, daycare, etc.
- Responsible for recruiting participants in the community.
- Scheduling research follow-ups, community services appointments and survey collection.
- Other duties as needed. Hours are flexible.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting and working in case management to provide services in a social service setting
- High level of interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.

Ability and commitment to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to understand and follow safety/security practices and work in high pressure situations.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Coordinator must meet the following qualifications:
- Associate degree in a Human Services field (ie: Sociology, Urban Studies, Social Work) or two years of equivalent experience.
- Candidate must have their own vehicle, valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and good driving record; and feel comfortable engaging in community-based services
- Passing background check is required prior to being hired.
