POSITION TITLE:
Human ResourcesOffice Support IV

REPORTS TO:
Chief of Human Resources and Student Services

BEGINNING DATE:
Open Until Filled

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with school personnel and the public
  • Considerable knowledge of and ability to use correct grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation
  • Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and related software
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and summarize data utilizing a variety of software
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule variable work
  • Ability to learn, interpret, and explain policies, regulations, and programs
  • Ability to design and originate forms, charts, graphs, and presentations using a variety of software
  • Ability to create, manage, and maintain large computerized databases of information
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
  • Considerable organizational skills
  • Ability to create professional quality publications

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • Related associate’s degree; or
  • High school graduate and five years of related clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Work experience in school or Human Resources settings preferred

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months
SALARY: Salary Grade 61, Office Support IV
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • The ability to be physically active, which includes, but is not limited to, standing, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, sitting, walking.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms routinely.
  • Ability to operate technology for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to carry furniture such as tables and chairs, supplies and materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds routinely and 30 pounds occasionally.
  • The ability to maintain composure in difficult situations.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills in English.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and efficient office.
  • Collect, distribute, and maintain all leave of absence request records.
  • Complete all employment verification requests.
  • Work collaboratively with other HR/SS team members to facilitate necessary processes including employee background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and employment onboarding.
  • Fingerprint new employees and volunteers.
  • Create employee identification badges.
  • Assist with maintaining and record keeping for all Human Resources documents.
  • Provide support for the multi-line switchboard when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
