The Mission of Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is to improve public safety by positively changing lives.

Our agency is looking to fill a full-time, permanent Office Assistant (OA3) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Wenatchee Field Office located at 1842 North Wenatchee Ave, Wenatchee, WA 98801.
Under general supervision by the Community Corrections Supervisor, this position provides clerical support to the Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS) and Community Corrections Officers (CCOs).

Duties

  • Provide reception and clerical support.
  • Database entry and retrieval from various systems, such as OMNI (Offender Management Network Information), OnBase, Odyssey, JIS (Judicial Information System), JABS (Judicial Access Browser System), Swift & Certain (SAC).
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of clerical experience and/or customer service experience.
  • And maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Must respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds.
  • Ability to navigate internal databases.
  • Ability to proofread written material, identify and correct errors in sentence structure, grammar and punctuation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to staff, supervise individuals, public and stakeholders.
  • Basic level of proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years clerical experience to include basic level proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

  • Salary is based on experience and is determined at the time an offer of employment is made. The salary listed in the job posting includes Steps A-M. Step M is a longevity step and is typically gained six years after being assigned to Step L in your permanent salary range.
