Office Administrator Job Description for Chick-fil-A at Main & Almond in Orange, CA
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Administrator to join our Chick-fil-A at Main & Almond team in Orange, CA. This pivotal role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from handling the recruitment process to ensuring operational compliance and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently. By supporting our managers, directors, and team members, the Office Administrator will contribute significantly to the smooth running of our restaurant operations and the well-being of our staff.
Expected to work daytime hours, 9am to 5pm, with two days per week till 6pm or 7pm. Part time or Full time, 30 hours per week minimum.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Hiring:
- Review job applications thoroughly and select qualified applicants for interviews.
- Conduct the first round of interviews to screen potential team members.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed.
- Manage the offboarding process for departing team members, including exit interviews and final paperwork.
Attendance and Punctuality Monitoring:
- Monitor team member attendance and punctuality on a daily basis, addressing any issues promptly.
Disciplinary Actions:
- Write up disciplinary actions as needed to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Ability to have disciplinary action conversations a plus.
Scheduling:
- Develop and manage work schedules for team members, taking into account peak times and individual availability.
Certification and Compliance:
- Ensure all team member certifications are current and compliant with relevant regulations.
Workers Compensation:
- File employee injury claims with the workers' compensation carrier in a timely and accurate manner.
Administrative Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to managers and directors, including document management and meeting coordination.
Operational Compliance:
- Review various operational reports daily to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Event Planning:
- Assist in planning and organizing events, such as employee birthday celebrations and work anniversaries, to foster a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in office management, administrative support, human resources or a related field, preferably in the hospitality or retail industry.
- Human Resources experience a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and reliability.
