Network Engineer With Silver Peak Experience

Job Title: Network Engineer with Silver Peak - 100% Remote

Primary Skills: Silver Peak exp., WAN & LAN connectivity, Fixed Wireless, Colocation services, focus on routing, switching, Service Now, Jira, TEM systems, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5.

Locations: Remote (100% remote-EST OR CST time zone only)

Duration: 10/31/2023 possible extension.

Interviews: Web Cam Interview.

Work Arrangement: 100 % remote (must be in the EST or CST time zone. Working in EST.)

Required Skills
- Experience in IT or related field   Required. 3-5 + yrs.
- EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or other technical field.  Desired.
Or 5+ years of direct and applicable professional experience in configuring, deploying, running, and fixing routers and switches in an enterprise environment will be considered for a substitution.
- Certifications:   
- Must have Silver Peak/Velo Cloud.   Required.
- Telco: WAN connectivity, LAN connectivity, Fixed Wireless, Colocation services. Required.
- OSS/BSS: Service Now, Jira, TEM systems. Required.
- Network: Networking, SD-WAN, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VPN, Firewalls, Router, Switch, Load Balancer.  Required.
- Product: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, Silver Peak/Velo Cloud, Arista.  Required.
- Practical meaningful experience in large-scale networking engineering and operations.  Required. 3-5 yrs.
- Excellent knowledge of IT general practices and methods with specialized knowledge in multiple technical disciplines such as, cloud, 
  telecommunications, network & automation.  Required.
- Sophisticated knowledge of WAN routing (BGP), traffic engineering, QoS, telemetry, and segmentation.  Required.
- Good level of understanding of dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.  Required.
- Experience with Load Balancers, Firewalls, WAN Optimization, and/or VPN Concentrators.  Highly desired.
- Demonstrate experience with networking technologies within large enterprise networks.  Required.
- Detailed knowledge of Cisco, Arista or similar routing and switching platform.  Required.
- Hands- on experience with Fortinet, Pulse Secure & F5 products and services is considered.  Highly desired.
- Good knowledge of Networking and Wireless standards.  Required.
- Experience with Cisco & Meraki wireless solutions.  Required.
- Understanding and knowledge of network segmentation.  Required.
- Experience with SD-WAN management & solving issues is an extra.  Highly desired.
Education: 
Bachelor's degree in information Technology or related field or equivalent experience required.
