Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer is a member of the Enterprise Infrastructure team and is responsible for assisting the architecture team with design responsibilities and spearheading the implementation, maintenance, and support of Virtua's critical network and telecommunication systems. These include local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Internet connectivity, telecommunication (VoIP) solutions, load balancers, etc. to support Virtua's business requirements and strategic goals. Additionally, this role provides onsite and remote support to internal and external customers while working independently and as part of a team to resolve higher level more complex technical issues and perform system upgrades as part of the escalation process.
Position Responsibilities:
Responds to Customer Support Center, staff, site personnel and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and level 4 support of data and voice network systems.
Implement and administer LAN/WAN networks in multiple locations that support VoIP based phone system and video conferencing including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN tunnels, load balancers, DNS/IP address management, and backup/recovery solutions.
Mentor and guide junior team members on technical issues and emerging technologies.
Automate and optimize recurring tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Provide feedback to manager regarding recommendations to further improve network related systems and solutions that support the business and protect company information assets.
Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities without disturbing function of other systems.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
- Six to Ten years' experience in supporting enterprise network systems, Cisco or Aruba Networks preferred.
- Certification in enterprise network grade systems required, Cisco or Aruba Networks
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity Engineering, related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Technical Certification required, Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCIE, Aruba AMCP, Palo Alto PCNSE
