Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting with patient care in a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with AdvancedMD PM & EHR, as well as strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and collect payments
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Take patient vitals and record medical histories
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using AdvancedMD EHR and other relevant software systems
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and file management
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
