Essential Duties/Responsibilities: The Golf Attendant, under the supervision of the Assistant Golf Professional, is one of the most important positions at Golden Nugget Lake Charles. They are the first and last contact point with the majority of golf guests. Golf Attendants are fully versed in all aspects of the golf course, restaurant and the Golden Nugget Lake Charles Casino. Golf Attendants ensure outside components of the golf operations are facilitated, specifically related to guest service, golf cart fleet management, driving range and general facility cleanliness.
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the rules of golf and proper etiquette.
- Stage golf carts.
- Load golf clubs on golf carts.
- Direct guests to clubhouse.
- Clean and prepare golf carts for use (i.e. stock towels, tees, pencils, scorecards, water etc.)
- Report any cart problems to mechanics in a timely manner.
- Ensure short game area is neatly set up and stocked.
- Meet golfers upon completion of play and clean golfers clubs.
- Escort golfers to the bag drop and assist them with getting their clubs loaded into their cars.
- Have knowledge of resort amenities, including casino, restaurants, specials and shows
- Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and employees as appropriate.
- Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department and company records.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
