Medical Office Receptionist – Adult Care
Fast-paced, high volume Family Care department is looking for top skilled Medical Office Receptionist.Is that you?
Work location: 2100 Hedgcoxe Rd., Suite 100, Plano, TX
Work hours: Fulltime, 40 hours weekly, Monday - Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm

- Will have the shortened Friday clinic hours beginning January of 2024
Here's What You Need
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Six months of recent medical front office experience (preferred) OR
- Six months of Customer Service experience in a Business Office Environment (preferred)
- Scheduling and insurance verification within a Medical Office setting (strongly preferred)
- Basic computer skills (preferred)
A successful Medical Office Receptionist will
- Be an outgoing individual with a friendly attitude
- Must be able to multitask in a high paced environment and always maintain the Texas Health Promise Principles with patients and staff.
- Have strong attention to detail
- Be able to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic
- Must have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, patience, and organizational skills
- Have knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements
What You Will Do
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process
- Under direct supervision, performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
- Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately.
- Schedules appointments according to office guideline.
- Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
- Copies/scans patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.)
