Growing Ophthalmology practice in Castle Hills seeking experienced Front Office Receptionist to join our team. Candidates must have excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to work on many projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented and organized, maintain accurate patient insurance records, focus and work quickly, and have strong communication skills in person and on the phone. Experience answering multiple phone lines efficiently and professionally. Candidates will also have experience using EMR and be Bi-lingual, Spanish.
You will play an integral role in the flow of the center and help create a warm and engaging experience for our patients. We are looking for dependable, friendly, professional candidates.
Essential job duties/requirements:
- Greets patients, has them complete the proper paperwork and informs them of the process flow.
- Manages phones, screens calls to determine information that is needed, confirms and reschedules appointments.
- Coordinates patient files and ensures that proper documentation is in each file.
- Proficiency with insurance verification & authorizations.
- Scans and enters insurance cards and ensures accuracy of information.
- Prepares charts for next day's appointments.
- Responsible for collecting copays/coinsurance/deductibles, must be familiar with insurance.
- Assists in any other areas as needed.
- Attendance, professional appearance and dependability are vital.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a medical practice
- Ophthalmology experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
This is a full-time position Monday- Friday. 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (rotating shifts). Wage will be commensurate with previous experience and skill level. We offer a pleasant working environment and benefits. If interested, please submit your resume.
