- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with medical billing and coding as needed
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
```Experience```
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR) software, is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and scheduling
