Medical Front Desk Receptionist - Part Time

Children’s Health of Ocala is currently hiring a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant for the Front Office Department. All applicants MUST be willing to work 2 extended shifts (up to 7:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, up to 6:30 PM on Fridays, and up to 1:00 PM on Saturdays).

Job Description

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

· Checking patients in/out

· Answering phones

· Scheduling and confirming appointments for multiple providers

· Verifying patient insurances

· Collecting Co-Pays

· Notifying clinical staff of patient arrivals and arrival delays

· Faxing, scanning, and attaching documents to patients' charts

· Multi-tasking in a fast-paced office setting

Job Requirements

Education

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Medical Assistant certificate

· Basic computer skills

Experience

· Previous telephone and customer service experience

· Previous medical office experience preferred

Physical Requirements

· Reaching overhead to retrieve records and supplies

· Bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
