SalaryPremier Allergy, Asthma, & Sinus Care is seeking a hardworking, dedicated and reliable Medical Billing Specialist to join our practice. This is a unique opportunity to work and grow with a professional team in our fast-paced, expanding outpatient allergy clinic.

Essential Functions/Tasks of the position include:
- Review, submit and process claims in a timely manner
- Collect, post, and manage existing and outstanding patient accounts
- Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contractual obligation
- Compile billing encounters and deposits
- Review claim denials and work to resolve
- Analyze trends with payors regarding reimbursement rates or denials to ensure maximum reimbursement at all times
- Print weekly reports and clean up all accounts greater than 60 days old
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits; estimate patient appointment cost
- Send patient statements and make patient balance calls
- Identify and resolve any patient billing issues
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Effectively manage stress in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
- Some light administrative duties included, but not limited to, phone calls and scheduling
Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience as a Medical Billing Specialist; experience with Allergy & Immunology a plus
- College degree or technical college diploma
- Expert understanding of commercial and government insurances, treatment CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and expected reimbursement rates
- Proficiency in basic math and written communication
- Ability to offer excellent customer service for phone and face-to-face patient interactions
