SalaryWe are looking for a personable and friendly person to join our staff as our Billing Specialist for both private insurance (BCBS, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Medicare) and managed vision care plans (VSP, Eyemed). Our practice is a full-scope optometric office with a specialty in neuro-rehab vision therapy. We pride ourselves in providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere for our patients and employees in a family practice setting.
The position involves the following description:
-Checking eligibility and benefits
-Looking up pre-authorization requests/status
-Be familiar with educating patients on deductibles, copay, coinsurance, etc
-Manage denials and timely filing
-Maintenance of aging reports and accounts receivable.
-Running reports and monthly statements.
-Use of ICD-10 coding
-Knowledge of credentialing for Doctors of Optometry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
