Athenix Body Sculpting located in is currently seeking an experienced licensed Medical Assistant.
The Medical Assistant is primarily responsible for pre/post operative patient care and administrative aspects concerning patients.
Position requires a meticulous individual with a positive attitude and excellent patient satisfaction skills. Must be an enthusiastic, devoted, team player individual that is able to thrive in a fast paced, high volume clinical setting. Must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our facilities on specific treatment offerings. Evenings and Saturdays may be required on a regular basis.
JOB SUMMARY
In collaboration with the clinical team assists Physicians and other providers in the delivery of patient care working within the scope of practice as a Medical Assistant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains all pre/post operative care with an emphasis on wound/incision care, patient dressings, garment fitting
Reviews initial patient paperwork for accuracy; labs, takes vitals, discusses patient medical history/notates chart accordingly
Takes body measurements, photos, and assesses garment size
Examination Room Preparation; sterilization techniques in accordance with AAAHC standards, ensure supplies, and equipment
May assist in scheduling patients for labs, initial and follow up appointments
Provides patient communications to appropriate clinical staff and/or physician
Collaborates with a variety of personnel and departments to ensure smooth clinic operations
Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Certified Medical Assistant and licensed with the state of Washington
1-3 years experience within a surgical environment
Plastic Surgery and aesthetics environment highly preferred but not required
Current BLS and or acquire within 30 days of hire
ACLS certification preferred but not required
Quick learner, team-oriented, self driven
Professional appearance; warm demeanor
