Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician works mostly at customer locations either in the field or in district. Our Best Service Technicians main focus is on Frac Pumps.
Basic duties for a Field Service Technician:
Field Service Technician duties include inspecting and repairing Frac power ends, removing severely damaged power ends and replacing with rebuilt and new units.
Techs will assist in root causes for failures and also help with engineering projects and new technologies to help make sure things run smoothly and engineering best practices are followed.
Field Service Technician responsibilities include:
Inspecting and repairing power ends and fluid ends onsite and in district
Installing new and rebuilt Frac power ends on Frac trailers and skids
Preventative Maintenance repairs
Training of best practices with customers
This position reports directly to the BEST Field Service Supervisor
For this job, you need to have three minimum experience working in the field or a manufacturing environment for well stimulation equipment or equivalent experience. Must be familiar with the technical aspects of machines, equipment, and technology used in different field projects. You should be an excellent problem-solver and be able to manage crises when they arise. Professional in and communicating with customers. Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role is preferred.
Responsibilities
Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues
Conduct research and studies on site
Manage field activities and implement engineering designs
Diagnose pump or machinery problems
Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise
Oversee repairs and technical improvements
Install new systems and technology
Inspect and test material and machinery for quality and safety
Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
Lead and direct onsite crew (e.g. technicians)
Draft and submit reports and attention to details
Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including pumps, fluid ends and equipment
Understanding of safety guidelines
Outstanding communication skills
An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability
Ability to work in adverse weather and overtime and weekends as required
Ability to travel domestic and international as demand is required
