Description
Position Title: Manager, Donor Relations and Endowment Campaign
Employment Classification: Full-time, Salary, Exempt (12 months)
Reports to: Director of Development
Position Summary: The Donor Relations and Endowment Campaign manager works closely with the DoD, Executive Director, and Development Team to maximize contributions. This is accomplished by engaging and stewarding a portfolio of individual donors and implementing a strategy to identify new individual and community-based philanthropic resources. Additionally, this position manages the Endowment Campaign, including collaborating with the development team to ensure campaign success. The ideal candidate demonstrates and holds themselves to high standards for professionalism across various audiences, which includes interfacing with staff, Board members, donors, and funders.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for a portfolio of donors, including personalized engagement plans for high-impact donors aligned with personal goals based on their desired impact and interests.
- Consistent tracking of activity in RaisersEdge and regular review of activities, including creating and analyzing monthly reports to assess efficacy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and Marketing to create customized proposals to provide meaningful giving opportunities for donors.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify and secure new donors, including staying current on local giving trends, charitable social events, and business trends, networking, utilizing prospecting research, and engaging current supporters to engage their networks.
- Work collaboratively with volunteer committees and Board members to meet revenue goals.
- Work with the Development team to review current and new donor data regularly to make strategic decisions regarding activities with portfolio donors.
- Utilize fundraising tools created by the marketing team (events, direct mail, marketing materials, website, digital campaigns, etc.) to engage and inspire donors to remain active supporters.
- Conduct Endowment Campaign prospect research to identify campaign prospects from external sources and prospects already within the organization's database.
- Create and implement a Constituent Relations Plan.
- Create and implement a Prospect Cultivation Plan.
- Act as liaison between the Samueli Academy Development Department and the Orangewood Foundation Development Department.
- Responsibilities include off-site presentations, tours, and attending program events as needed.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree is valued but not required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fundraising/development or relevant experience that includes high-touch customer engagement and/or premiere hospitality or sales.
- Engaging and compelling communicator and presenter.
- Ability to work both in a team environment and self-directed situations.
- Competency in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications; experience with Raisers Edge preferred.
- Multilingual Spanish valued.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be a minimum of twenty-one years old.
- Has consistently reliable transportation.
- Pre-employment screenings include a criminal background check, FBI/DOJ fingerprinting, TB test, and drug screen.

Working Environment / Physical Requirements: Position may require use of personal vehicle. Our typical physical environment includes standing, sitting, typing, bending, and lifting up to approximately 50 lbs. (i.e., tables, chairs, food, water, etc.). Salary Description
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually
