The Fuller Foundation’s Donor Relations Associate is responsible for executing a broad range of Donor Relations and stewardship activities supporting the missions of The Fuller Foundation and Fuller Theological Seminary. This is a key position on the team that will serve as the main driver of accurate and high-quality data, while partnering with internal and external team members to support Donor Relations efforts. These efforts include, but are not limited to, donor acknowledgement, stewardship reports, impact reports, scholarship program support, and other donor communications.
This position collaborates closely with departments across the Seminary and the Foundation. This role includes a specific focus on scholarship funds and partnership with Student Financial Services, ensuring compliance with donor intent and guidelines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect, track, and manage the data necessary to communicate our donors’ impact through their generosity, including but not limited to scholarship data, student recipients and stories, and thank you notes.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity and collaborate with the Foundation team to update CRM database, including but not limited to donor biographical data, gift data, named fund data, and other data integral to Donor Relations, stewardship reports, and communications.
- Manage administrative tasks related to the annual audit of endowment and other named funds.
- Help facilitate communication between scholarship recipients and donors.
- Create and implement communications or campaigns across various marketing platforms (i.e., ThankView, Marketo, Crescendo).
- Ensure donor agreements, pledge agreements, and other gift documentation and donor records are accurate, current, and saved properly.
- Collaborate with Fuller’s events team on any stewardship events intended to strengthen Donor Relations and enhance student interaction with donors.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- This is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid position; schedule to be determined in consultation with the supervisor.
- Preference will be given to candidates in the greater Los Angeles area.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least two plus years of nonprofit experience with preference to stewardship/fundraising/development experience or relatable professional skills.
- Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with basic Microsoft Office software and database software.
- Knowledge or experience with CRM databases (i.e., Ellucian Advance or Raiser’s Edge) preferred.
- Creative, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be adept at analyzing data and written communication.
- Superior organizational skills, including ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Openness to new ideas and implementation.
- Flexibility in work hours including the occasional evening and/or weekend.
- Ability and commitment to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of all donor/constituent information.
- A background check is required.
- Anti-harassment training for employees and supervisors is mandatory upon hire.
- An organizational wide performance review process is required for all employees and a required task of all supervisors along with regular 1:1 meetings with their direct reports.
