Description
Donor Relations:
- Evaluate, enhance and expand a comprehensive stewardship plan to build donor connection to Crossroads through consistent and meaningful contact across all donor giving levels, constituent groups and funding priorities
- Plan and execute annual leadership donor thank-you event and annual Head of School new parent dinners with Advancement Events Coordinator
- Collaborate to refine scheduling and materials for the creation and dissemination of the Annual Report and provide input on the messaging and deliverables of this and other donor materials
- Collaborate to proof donor lists for the Annual Report and help track donor recognition preferences
- Refine and implement stewardship plans for groups of donors, endowed funds and giving societies to recognize and cultivate continued support while accurately reporting the impact of giving
- Identify unique donor segments where innovation marketing and stewardship can have a significant impact, such as with first-time donors, lapsed donors and affinity groups, and develop strategies to align with donor behaviors (timing, designation, gift type, etc.)
- Work closely with advancement operations colleagues, Annual Fund Manager and Director of Development to develop a benchmarking system to measure progress to date, including overall participation, donor acquisition, retention and analysis of donor giving that is at, above or below ask amounts
- Lead efforts to strategically use data and donor behavior to guide portfolio refreshes, new assignments and other new opportunities for gift officer focus and collaboration
- Collaborate with advancement members, including the data team, regarding applicant family and new family research
- Continually monitor school events, communications and social media to help identify opportunities to connect donors to areas of interest and impact
- Manage both the creation and maintenance of donor plaques and other recognition opportunities in collaboration with the DOD and the DOA
Campaign Operations:
- Partner with DOD to craft proposals to individuals and families for leadership and major gifts which may include information gathering, writing, proofreading and simple design
- Work closely with the data team to prepare lists, reports and profiles concerning campaign prospects.
- Prepare talking points, assemble presentations and full meeting prep for Head of School, Board members, and the Director of Advancement
- Work closely with the data team and Directors of Development and Advancement to create content for acknowledgment letters and pledge reminders
- Ensure campaign proposals, supporting documentation and other materials and correspondence are produced and submitted as needed
- Provide occasional administrative support for various aspects of the Worlds Unimagined Campaign
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of progressive experience in advancement, Donor Relations or other related areas
- Ability to initiate projects and work independently
- Ability to prioritize appropriately when facing multiple responsibilities and tasks
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, allowing individuals to work effectively with colleagues and constituents, solve problems and represent Crossroads to all constituents
- Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge database (preferred)
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility and the ability to work well with others
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and manage many different projects at once
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required for prospect meetings and events
- Demonstrates discretion and the highest ethical and professional behavior as a representative of Crossroads and its advancement office
