Job Title: Mailroom Clerk
Location: San Francisco, CA
Pay: $25-27 per hour
Position Overview:
As a Mailroom Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other correspondence for our San Francisco office. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of mail within the organization, as well as maintaining the overall efficiency of the mailroom operations.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate recipients or departments.
- Process outgoing mail, including postage meter operation, packaging, and shipping.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Monitor and replenish supplies such as envelopes, shipping materials, and postage.
- Handle special mail services, such as registered or certified mail, with attention to detail and security protocols.
- Assist in managing mailroom equipment, including printers, scanners, and postage meters, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding mail handling and confidentiality.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized mailroom environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders regarding mail-related inquiries and requests.
- Assist in other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a mailroom or similar administrative/ facilities role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with mailroom equipment such as postage meters, scanners, and printers.
