Legal Administrative Assistant

Busy Pleasanton, California business law firm needs a legal assistant/junior paralegal to work with the firm’s full-time senior paralegal. This will be a home-based Pleasanton, California position that will require some local errand trips in the Amador Valley area.

The ideal candidate will have an administrative working history, preferably in a law firm or in another professional office setting. Must be a high school graduate (AA or BA degree a plus). Active paralegal school students are encouraged to apply.

Working tasks will include, but not be limited to:

· Retrieving, sorting, scanning, and forwarding office mail to appropriate team members

· Updating practice management software with relevant case information

· Prepare and serve various litigation and mechanics lien packages

· Prepare, send, and manage outgoing daily mail and overnight shipments

· Conduct non-complex research projects and maintain client/matter files

The right candidate must possess good time management and organizational skills and a willingness to learn specific law practice management software systems. General computer and Microsoft Office Software knowledge and experience are basic requirements for this position.
