Education Services LLC is looking for a talented Learning Engineer / Instructional Designer / Web Developer with a passion for changing lives through training and education to design and build innovative training and certification programs.
We are a small but established firm, specialized in creating certification programs, training experiences, user manuals, and custom websites for learning, community, ecommerce, and marketing services including podcast production, email, and social media.
In this role you will work with a team of Learning Engineers (the Jedis of Instructional Designers) and Online Marketers to design, create, edit, and QA content for use in online courses, marketing campaigns, and websites. You will also perform light project management duties and participate in creative design sessions and client reviews.
You will work on exciting projects that range from professional development for school teachers to help kids learn how to read, to adult education and coaching that helps anyone discover and achieve their potential, to technical training for military and law enforcement on how to operate state of the art equipment like UAV’s (drones) and high end cameras and sensors. You’ll love coming to work!
Must be reasonably proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Audition) and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Experience with Articulate Storyline and any project management solution is a bonus but not required (we’ll teach you).
This position is open only to candidates within a reasonable commute to Draper, UT. We like to collaborate in person and expect you will work in our office.
Some of the work we do is regulated by the US State Department and requires that all personnel are US Persons on US Soil. If you aren’t, don’t bother applying. Veterans are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with information security and in regulated industries is a plus.
Responsibilities
Work with Subject Matter Expects (SMEs) to document requirements; create instructional design for online and instructor-led learning experiences and assessment strategies; create and maintain the online and classroom instructional materials; develop assessments and evaluation rubrics.
Direct the work of supporting media developers, technical writers, and voice over talent, and directly participate in those activities where appropriate.
Work with team members and customers to ensure quality and accuracy of designs and content.
Requirements
Must be a US person on US soil.
Must work in our office in Draper, UT.
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Psychology, or related area or equivalency.
Proficient with general office productivity software.
Effective written and verbal communications skills.
Work well independently and with others with little or no supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Sometimes we create simple training modules or courses, though most of the time we create full certification training programs consisting of multimedia learning experiences, practice activities, simulations and pseudo-simulations, knowledge checks, and human scored or computer based certification assessments.
