The Role:
As an Instructional Designer working in the Learning and Organizational Development department (L&OD), you will collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs, coordinate, design, develop, and deliver interactive learning solutions through a variety of mediums in support of the overall strategy and goals of Vivint's business.
The L&OD team protects and creates value for our customers and stakeholders through the onboarding, training, development, and enablement of employees and leaders (both future and present). We help leaders understand the employee experience and align the culture to the business strategy. We are a center of expertise on human behavior, change leadership, and learning.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Understanding and having in-depth experience with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model to create effective training solutions
- Conducting needs assessments and other types of analysis to identify gaps in employee performance or knowledge
- Demonstrating effective communication skills to serve as a learning consultant to align training strategies for process improvement initiatives, program changes, or mandated process modifications
- Being competent in adult learning theory and fundamental training approaches to design engaging learning solutions that promote a learning culture
- Using curriculum development tools to create effective e-learning training, facilitation guides, course material, training aids, self-led material, and other training support material
- Working within an LMS and use of the staging area to test all courseware prior to delivery for a 100% confidence level of learner access and functionality
- Maintaining awareness of new developments in training and instructional design and recommend modifications in our curriculum and practices
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of learning and adult learning theory
- Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate
- Ability to conduct Needs Analyses
- Experience developing ILT, e-Learning, blended learning experiences
- Experience with effectively documenting design processes
- Experience working closely with SME's and Consultative skills
- Project Management experience - should be able to manage multiple projects in various stages of development simultaneously and hit deadlines.
- Experience in all phases of e-learning development (samples may be requested)
- Must be able to provide structured feedback for other content developers.
- Excellent written communication skills (samples may be requested)
- Graphic Design and UX Design Experience are a plus
- Experience with Absorb Learning Management System is a plus
- Contact center experience is a plus
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Instructional Technology, Multimedia; or related area are a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience with e-learning production or training development.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
