Job Description:
At EnerBank, the Instructional Designer designs and develops state-of-the-art training programs that empower our home improvement contractor clients to increase their sales. These training programs will drive immediate results by developing the necessary skillsets for business owners, sales managers, sales professionals, and office administrators. This position analyzes performance needs to conceptualize, design, and produce learning content utilizing sound instructional design principals and best practices.
EnerBank USA, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and other organizations (with networks of home improvement contractors) to develop customized white-label loan programs to help them increase their sales as well as attract and retain top dealers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meets with subject matter experts and appropriate senior leaders to identify and meet the training needs of the Bank
- Conducts needs assessments to develop training content focusing on results-based outcomes for our home improvement contractor clients
- Writes learning objectives and identifies learning strategies
- Writes and storyboards instructional content
- Develops on-demand and ILT training courses for a variety of learning populations
- Utilizes tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, PowerPoint, Prezi, and Bridge LMS to conceptualize, design, deploy, and track training curriculum
- Designs instructionally sound, creative, and high-quality learning solutions utilizing adult learning principles and methods to ensure performance improvements and client's business needs are met
- Performs quality checks to ensure content is error free prior to presentation to management and the client
- Remains flexible and perform ad-hoc training responsibilities to adjust to changing business needs
- Evaluates the ongoing effectiveness of all programs and curriculum with predetermined metrics
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or related field and four (4) years of instructional systems/curriculum designer or related experience
- Or Associate's degree in instructional design, education, or related field and six (6) years of instructional systems/curriculum designer or related experience
- Or High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of business development or related experience
- Experience administrating a learning management system (LMS)
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of multi-technical writing tools
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, PowerPoint, and Prezi
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
